Welcome to CSF!
_ The California Scholarship Federation (CSF), established in 1921, is a statewide organization to honor outstanding high school students. Students apply for membership each semester; eligibility is determined by the grades of the previous semester. The first semester of eligibility is the spring of the sophomore year. A student who has been a member of CSF for four semesters (including one in the senior year) becomes a Life Member (Sealbearer). Life membership is noted on the student’s diploma and permanent record. Additionally, Sealbearers are awarded the CSF pin and a gold honor cord.
CSF’s motto is “Scholarship for Service”. Accordingly, many club members participate in academic service projects, such as tutoring. Sealbearer status is not contingent upon active service, however seniors can apply for CSF scholarships with extensive community service requirements.
The application window for CSF membership is the first four weeks of each semester. Applications are available here and on campus in D114. A meeting is held after all applications are processed and the member lists finalized. Member lists are posted on this webpage, and individual membership records kept online at JupiterGrades. Look in the 4th 6 weeks of your Sophomore year.
